Commonwealth Pharmacists Associaion

The Commonwealth encompasses one third of the global population, including some of the world’s poorest nations. As a registered charity, member organisation and accredited organisation of the Commonwealth, the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA) seeks to empower pharmacists across the Commonwealth to improve the health and wellbeing of the communities they serve. Established in response to a mandate from the Commonwealth in 1969, CPA has a long standing relationship with the RPS, our founding president being the then RPS president, Mr Albert Howells. The CPA's many programmes of work contribute towards its core charitable objectives through building strong collaborative networks, partnering with member organizations to improve the quality of pharmacy practice and creating platforms for the dissemination of knowledge about pharmaceutical sciences and professional practice. The exponential growth of the organization in recent years has led to the significant expansion of its work streams and global footprint, providing opportunities to RPS members to contribute their experience and expertise through engaging in global health programmes.
