Laura Fulton

Scottish Pharmacy Board

Laura is a highly motivated pharmacist and an accomplished natural leader; her passion for pharmacy, to deliver exceptional patient care to every person every day, is evident.

Laura has spent her career to date operating across various pharmacy sectors and Great Britain, in both frontline and senior management roles. Laura has been at the fore front of innovative practice and service development including pioneering non-medical prescribing to support addiction services in NHS Lanarkshire.

In her current post, as Director of Pharmacy at NHS Golden Jubilee, Laura provides professional pharmacy leadership across this national board, and has responsibility for medicines governance and patient safety. Laura represents the Directors of Pharmacy Group on various national groups and committees.

Laura continues to practise and enjoy ad hoc locum provision in community pharmacy at weekends, delivering unscheduled care and supporting patient’s needs; this gives her insight into the challenges and pressures facing healthcare overall.

Laura has worked closely with many people, groups and organisations associated with the RPS and has established credible relationships, gained trust with key stakeholders across GB and Northern Ireland.

Laura’s values align with those of the RPS and is looking forward to the opportunity to demonstrate them as an RPS Scottish board member.
